Dodgers field almost 7,000 seekers for 500 part-time jobs

It is crazy it seems like the recession is hitting harder and harder every day. Every day it unemployment is rising and so far nothing has been done. The economic downturn has increased demand for part time jobs considerably. People nationwide are strapped for cash and are now more willing to work even if it is only part time. During a two-day job fair at Dodgers Stadium almost 7,000 applicants came for 500 part-time jobs. According to team officials, this year's crowd was "significantly more" than similar job fairs in previous years. This proves that when the economy is bad people are more willing to do anything to get by. With so many people fighting for so little jobs, job expectations are bound to rise. Making it ever harder to land a job, fighting for the same job makes it harder to get but not fighting at all does not help either. The only feasible solution to unemployment is to create new jobs but with the economy this bad new jobs will take quite awhile to create.
