Senate ignores McCain, keeps thousands in earmarks

Senate wanted to preserve the earmarks in the 410 billion spending bill, as a result they brushed aside Senator John McCain's claim that Obama was not fullfilling his role. He accused Obama that he is merely having business with the Congress and that he promised he would go line by line to make sure the money would not go to waste. McCain proposal was to strip out an estimate of 8.5k earmarks resuling in a 32 billion dollar cut. He drew about 30 Republicans and two Democrats; however, he failed in the end. These earmark issue has made Obama very questionable. How will Obama react to this? Only through time will one find out=]
